I am not really one for self-portraits mainly because I think it comes off as being quite vain, but I feel like I should continue doing them to get to know myself better.
I couldn’t help myself and drew a follow up doodle to my future Chibiusa. Obviously it’s Helios! Stop me before I start to gush.
I omitted his horn because I follow the manga storyline more than the anime and in the manga, the horn is a symbol of his curse when he was Pegasus and he rides away on the true Pegasus in the end and because he is freed, he loses the horn. I didn’t really want to draw it anyway because I feel so bad for him when I read it and how goofy he looks. I also didn’t focus too much on the Pegasus behind him because it was more of a way to fill up space (since he doesn’t have crazy hair like Chibiusa) and it was a hint to his history and background in the plot.
I’ve still been working on class assignments, but I’m just going to say that these doodles are reinforcing my drawing skills and with this one, my ability in drawing men! I’m thinking about combining the sketch of Chibiusa and this one together. Yay for drawing Sailor Moon fanart in my own style!
Would anyone want to color the combo piece?
So I’ve been rewatching Sailor Moon after several years, and I’m in the Dream Arc (Sailor SuperS). Watching the show again has rekindled my love for Helios and Chibiusa so much (along with Rei and Jadeite), so I couldn’t help but doodle an older Chibiusa. I really wish there was a way to view their relationship in the future when she is older.
It’s my first time drawing any Sailor Moon fanart in my own style and I made my own artistic decisions in terms of her uniform, especially if she’s the leader when she’s older. I know her bell might be obsolete by this time, but it’s in reference to her connection to Helios/Pegasus.
Wahhhh I’m such a nerd, but I can’t help but love it. I’m more in love with the manga than the show, but either way. And while it reveals my love for anime and manga, it’s nice to just doodle things like this because it’s refreshing and simple rather than always concentrating on concepts.
Instead of focusing on my thumbnails, I drew this little favorite instead.
Let’s go homework! I don’t mind thumbnails, they just take me longer than they should.
This was a doodle I did in my second class today of me and my cat, Pi. I decided to use it as a quick digital doodle to exercise my hand before I start on rainingcats ‘s art trade piece!
This is to all of my new followers! Because I can’t individually send you my appreciation via messages, I did this quick thing in my sketchbook. Thank you!
