Featured on 2Dots and Creativity Decoded! I meant to update when these were posted, but I was sick and stuck in bed for the past five days and didn’t do much else besides watch movies.

Lots of big stuff happening and 2013 has barely started!

I got the wonderful surprise today of being featured on Alternative Pick’s Member Focus today! To go and check my email and hear from the founder, Maria Ragusa-Burfield (who was absolutely wonderful and insightful for the very brief time I got to meet her), that they were featuring my portfolio and that they love my body of work is very encouraging and gets me even more motivated. Also, the other day I totally thought Tumblr was hacked or had a glitch, but no. HELLO TO OVER 1200+ NEW FOLLOWERS?! WHAT? I was at work and my phone kept going off and I had no idea my last piece ever made it on Tumblr radar and got featured in two tags. And all of the messages I received…you guys are so so so so sweet! (●´∀`●)Good week and new work to come very soon. It won’t take as long as the last one I swear.

I’ve had this image floating around in my head for about a year now. I painted it last summer with a lot of anatomy and painting problems and I was waiting for an excuse to use the image again so I could redo it.  I turned it into a mock concert poster for the band ‘Jus†ice’ and I’m quite pleased with the results.

I haven’t had much artwork to post lately, but you should check out my friend, Brian’s, new tumblr (and give credit please)!

When you go to art school, you meet a lot of awesome people.  One of these people is named Andy Kettler, a fellow Illustration student and he created his own comic, which I have in my hand.  Not only is he awesome, but his work and this comic are as well and it’s for $3!  I ran into him at his work and he informed me he was able to sell about twenty copies to a comic store in Washington DC, so I think you all should grab one if you can before he gets big!
Check out his portfolio at ANDYKART.com!  And to contact him about his comic, you should email him at poopculture@rocketmail.com or get a hold of me and I’ll pass on the request :)  And this is a reminder to myself that I owe him $3 because he was nice enough to give it to me along with my tea and bagel when I saw him and didn’t have cash.

I was featured in the July 2011 issue of Skirt Savannah!  And yes, that’s Pi.
Next goal: to get actual illustration work published and not my face.

EatSleepDraw TV : Top 3 Artists : 003 (by eatsleepdraw)

This week we feature art from http://courtneywirthit.tumblr.com/ ,http://franciscoferreira.tumblr.com , http://coffeekinns.tumblr.com/

We also feature a speed painting from:http://www.youtube.com/user/KickedOutsideTheBox

Hey guys!  Lee from EatSleepDraw just emailed me and told me they featured my Japan piece in their latest EatSleepDraw TV episode!  I’m so excited and it’s really cool!  I’m feel very flattered that they chose my piece along with two others because they receive over thousands of submissions every day!  That and they just launched the tv idea recently and this about the third episode I believe.  I watched their interview with DrawGabbyDraw and so far their episodes have been pretty interesting!

This just made a sick girl feel even better this weekend.
