Tegan & Sara just punching me in the gut all day today. UGH.
I was also too lazy to draw pants.
- I Remember You

I haven’t meant to be M.I.A. or anything, but I have a life too. I’m working on stuff, just slowly. Shooting for Monday!
This comes on at work every day and I’m completely fine with that.

Challenge 28: Lyrical Inspiration//Mansions on the Moon
My latest piece for Square Carousel, y’all. Thanks for the help and advice, Chase and Caitlin!
I’m not the greatest with this thing called typography, but I still try to push myself to experiment with it when I can.
Work in progress shot for the upcoming Square Carousel challenge that will be shared tomorrow!
This has been a good song to get me going when I commute to and from work. I also like to have it on in the background while I’m drawing and walking around my area.
So, I’ve been pretty busy lately, but here’s some music I’ve been listening to frequently on my song rotation. I’ve got a few projects going on all at once, so I’ll gradually share either some WIPs and finalized stuff at the end of the week hopefully. And I have some questions in my inbox that I’ve been meaning to answer, so I’ll get to those as well.
We had our first snowfall yesterday. It’s pretty much melted away today, but still means I can put this on.

Closer
Yeah, I’m a fan and I dig.
Just an idea I had to get out of my head so I could move on to other things.

ALSO: To anyone going to New York Comic Con 2012, I’ll be at the Midtown Comics booth helping with the Signings October 11-14 (EVERYDAY). So if you’re around and can figure out who I am, say hi :) I don’t bite.
This 10” vinyl record kept appearing whenever I went to the local record shops and I decided to buy it a few years ago. I had never heard of the artist and didn’t know what to expect, but the way the album was packaged was interesting in a clear sleeve with the black and white photograph printed on a transparency, so the positive areas were shown from the white paper sleeve the record rests in.
I consider it a lucky find as it’s nice to put on the turn table while I work.

It’s a break out your record player and play all of the Los Campesinos! Heat Rash records kind of day.
It’s been a busy week, and this is just some audio fuel to help me get through it and get work done.
EDIT: A few of you have sent me questions asking me about the above records (actually, the image has the Heat Rash #3 issue and the Heat Rash #3 7” vinyl on rotation). I’m a subscriber to the band’s quarterly magazine/7” vinyl thing that they launched in 2010 and the moment I found out about it, I subscribed immediately despite having to pay a bit extra since I’m an international fan. So yes, I do have an undying love for this band since 2007. I get excited each time I receive the new issue and I immediately play the record with the unreleased singles and read the magazine.

I’m just doing what I can with a whole lot of drive. Trying to make my own path; take a chance, can’t sit and worry about no 5-year plan. Gotta live for the day ‘cause I could die where I stand.
That’s a pretty big trunk on my Lincoln Town car ain’t it? Big enough to take these broken hearts and put ‘em in it.
So I like that line a lot along with Frank Ocean and “Swim Good”. I’m stuck inside with a rolled ankle and can’t go outside TT-TT

Been on my summer playlist and on a constant rotation with the rest of his music when I work, run, and play outside.
