When in New York, you fall into trends easily.
Watercolor, ink, and acrylic. Fashionable males to come next!
PS: Sorry it’s been awhile. I have an entire list of things to work on so this should be getting updated more often like before.

I’ve had this image floating around in my head for about a year now. I painted it last summer with a lot of anatomy and painting problems and I was waiting for an excuse to use the image again so I could redo it.  I turned it into a mock concert poster for the band ‘Jus†ice’ and I’m quite pleased with the results.

I haven’t had much artwork to post lately, but you should check out my friend, Brian’s, new tumblr (and give credit please)!

In The Place That You Wish Was A Ghost
First time ever really painting, so this style and everything is new to me. It’s a self portrait formed from personal experiences. And why not capture myself when I’m blonde, right?  Maybe I’ll try to paint more in my spare time?Acrylic on 16”x19” canvas.

Maybe I’m getting the hang of this?

Maybe I’m getting the hang of this?

My friend gave me a canvas, his acrylic paints, and paint tools and told me to just try painting something for once.

I’m not much of a painter, but it’s nice experimenting. Maybe this will turn out?

My final for Survey of Illustration!  I may still work on it, but for now, it’s due today and I’m happy with where it is now, especially since it involved a lot of new techniques and experimentation.
I’m so exhausted…I don’t know if I’ll touch any paint this Spring Break o___o
Wood, wood burning and acrylic paint!
EDIT: And it’s Pi day!  So today is all about my kitten except unfortunately, she wasn’t born in March, she was born in August…and I can’t do much for her except let her do what she wants and she already does that…

I finally got this scanned.  The scan is a lot nicer and clearer than the photograph and isn’t covered in a yellow tint.  And you can actually see details!  I’m still really happy with how this turned out.  And I know most of you have seen this already, but for my own archive and reasons, I wanted to have the scan up rather than just the photographs I have of it.
[Copy and Pasted from the other post]
Acrylic paint (mainly in washes; people kept asking if I used watercolor), colored pencil, and marker.  I listened to a lot of Los Campesinos! while I painted it, and even some of my vinyl records.

My completed project for class.  It’s a photo of it.  I can scan it later, but probably not until I get it back.  It’s 18”x24”, but without the one inch border, it’s only 16”x20” (which is what I cropped it to be, since the background is to be white anyway).  It’s a self portrait project which covers composition and how a figure in a blank space interacts with negative space.  We were allowed to use any medium we wanted and could only use one prop if we chose to.  I stylized it a bit, and decided to use one of my jar plants, basil (which in actual reality, just began sprouting!).  And that pink thing on my left arm is my tattoo; it’s a koi fish with lotus blossoms!

Finally scanned this.  ”A Home for You & Me”.  I really like the idea of hair turning into unexpected things; in this instance, the flying squirrels’ nest.
Acrylic paint, graphite, colored pencil, gold ink, a little love for a little buddy, and a Los Campesinos! playlist.
Miss you, Puck.

Graphite, acrylic paint, colored pencil, and gold ink on wood.  For a dear little buddy of mine.  I will scan it soon.
