Macarons at Cafe 37 :3 (Taken with instagram)
Went to the Savannah Record Fair today! I’m excited to play these tonight while I do homework. I wish I could have gotten some other albums, but I’ll wait for the vendors to come back in the Spring (。-_-。)
For seven albums and a few being first editions or rare, I think I was successful for under $60!
Drew in Forsyth Park yesterday. The weather has been gorgeous and I needed a break from homework and projects. I was able to enjoy the wonderful weather and let my my mind wander as I sketched.
Pen and ink in my Moleskine!
Drew with Kat and Rhiannon at Gallery Espresso again! This is Kat’s third appearance and they happen to be all in a row in my sketchbook too :3 This time she was drawing me while I drew her, so we were giving each other stare downs (´∀`)
Ink and pencil in my Moleskine!
After about a week of not being in Savannah, I’m back to drawing at Gallery Espresso :3, this time with Kat (drawn in the above sketch)! It seems eventually all of my friends will make their way into my sketchbook.
Pencil and ink pen in my trusty Moleskine. Now I have to go off to my third class of the quarter, Constructive Dinosaur Anatomy! I think it’ll be tough but fun d(-_- o)
I got a bunch of Green Apple and Mango Hi-Chew for my train ride back to Savannah, but then it ended up being cancelled because of the poor weather (T__T). I was actually excited for the train ride home, but now my dad is driving me back tomorrow morning so I’m trying to exercise self restraint and save the Hi-Chew for the drive down.
But I get to spend a few more hours with my cats? Except Loki doesn’t seem very pleased in the photo.
I enjoy waking up at a decent hour and getting breakfast at Gallery Espresso and while I’m there, I can draw and sketch with my friend, Rhiannon. Today I ran into my friends, James and Michelle, who both have small appearances in my first sketch that I did today (though you can only see the top of Michelle’s head and my drawing of James only kind of resembles him).
Gallery is nice and cozy and I typically run into people I know there. You can even move to sit outside and enjoy the summer weather (because there was a nice breeze today), which is exactly what Rhiannon and I did and I drew what I could of Bull Street.
I’ve been keeping a small sketchbook of reportage illustrations to keep my hand exercised and to give me more practice with environments, architecture, and the Savannah scenery.
To make this more interesting, I drew this, the Gryphon Tea Room, which is across the street from Morris, the SCAD Illustration building, atop a cannon in Madison Square. My friend, Rhiannon, who goes out and draws with me found it hilarious enough to take pictures of me. At least I got a decent drawing of what I wanted and it entertained tourists, other students, and many other passerby so I figure that was my good deed for the day.
I don’t take myself too seriously and with that I find it makes me more successful :)
Reportage drawing in my sketchbook.
City Market in Savannah, Georgia.
IT’S MY BIRTHDAY [AUGUST 7TH]!!!
This captures the beginning to one of, if not THE, most wonderful birthdays I’ve ever had.
Caught in the rain
Hope you have a weekend full of surprising moments
I am not one to reblog anything on my Dashboard, but I’ve fallen in love with this. Savannah is the city where I’ve truly discovered myself and I welcome moments like these.
My friends and I play at the park. And while they take photos, I play a dead girl.
I am thinking along with artwork and songs that inspire me, this summer will also be full of photos. Because it’s delightful.
